The Langua World METHOD

The process of learning to use and speak a language is a continual one. In fact, even native speakers are continually learning new vocabulary and new uses for words. The fastest and easiest way to learn a language is usually spending time in the target language country. However, it is not always possible to just pick up and move to another country when you would like to.
This is why classes at LANGUA WORLD seek to imitate a native environment in the classroom that create the experience of everyday life situations in another country.

The teachers at LANGUA WORLD are professional certified teachers with years of experience. They are native-speakers of the language they teach and fully bilingual. They utilize a variety of methods in the classroom. At LANGUA WORLD, we select a methodology according to your actual knowledge and objectives. Our methods include: Listening and reading of practical dialogues reinforced with role-playing along with the use of visual aids; reading and listening of news, articles; conversation tailored to your interests; writting (usually as homework); multimedia such as news, internet, movies, songs; grammar and verbs.
Class materials will cost under thirty nine dollars on average.

Placing Students

Students come to Langua World with a variety of past experiences with their target languages.

Some have little to no experience, some have retained language skills from previously learning the language and some are currently learning the language and would like to increase their level of proficiency.

After being interviewed by a LANGUA language expert, you will take a proficiency test based on the results of the interview. The test will determine which proficiency level you will be placed in.

The proficiency scale is as follows:
Novice 1, 2, 3 Intermediate 4, 5, 6 Advanced 7, 8, 9, Superior, Distinguished.

The proficiency scale allows students to measure their current skill level and to chart their continual progress. Certificates are rewarded to students, whom on completion of each course, have taken and passed the standardized proficiency tests.

One-on-one lessons are extremely advantageous!

- Private classes are tailored to meet your language learning needs (conversation, grammar, pronunciation, writting, culture and more). Individual lessons make the most of your strengths and accelerate the learning process.

- Your schedule changes frequently and would prefer to book classes as you go (week to week), private instruction is the way to go!

- You want to immerse yourself in the target language, schedule 5 to 60 days of one on one intensive classes! Immersing oneself into a target language is the best way to prepare for a trip to a foreign language speaking country. With a total immersion class, the student and teacher will form a tight bond, in the classroom, over lunch, dinner and possibly even out socially. This type of training is highly effective since you will speak, hear, and think in your new language all day long. You will enter into the world of another country from day one!

- Area of Study: The area you are studying is highly specific and not one of our standard courses. We also offer specialized courses such as Business Presentations, Medical and Pharmaceutical Terminology, as well as cultural training.

- Area of Study: A group setting is ideal for many areas of study. For example, meetings and negotiations, business presentations and cultural training benefit from group interaction. Students can play the role of the audience, business partners and even wait staff.

- Relationship building: Working in groups greatly benefits those that work together in their occupation. To best maximize time, students may bring in current projects to work on during class such as upcoming business presentations or marketing plans.

- Motivation Factor: Many students are positively influenced when their peers make progress. Students find the support of class peers to be highly motivating as they work together towards the same goals.

- Group Classes on average have between 3-4 students. Class size will never exceed 8 and interested students may join at any time.
